In my spare time, I indulge in writing as well. Additionally, I’m the convener of a writers’ group at Stanton Library in North Sydney. Over the past six years, we have successfully published two anthologies.
Standing Out Or Fitting In

Are you a bit quirky or would you prefer to just fit in with society? Isn’t it a struggle to find that balance between personal individuality and conventional normality?
The stories in this collection are by authors, who tried to live life on their own terms while following socially acceptable norms. Like most people, they and their characters wanted to live a dream while improving the lives of people they care about. They wanted to make a difference without attracting ridicule.
Their stories show the interplay of trying to stand out while fitting in. It’s a dilemma that is woven into the fabric of everyday life for most of us.
Pieces of North Shore

On Sydney’s North Shore, not everyone is perfect. Otherwise, these stories wouldn’t exist.
If you think the affluent North Shore appears homogenous and bland, look a little harder and you’ll find different voices that have something to say. These are stories from lives you don’t get to see often, from authors as varied as the suburbs themselves.
Pieces of North Shore features seven local writers with diverse backgrounds. Some have migrated from other countries and some from other parts of Australia – or from within Sydney itself. These voices reflect the diversity we boast of as Australians. They tell stories of trying to fit in and the struggles encountered. Some stories are just fun. These writers aren’t afraid to show themselves.
